Mount Horeb/ Town of Primrose, WI – Virginia Hefty, the oldest resident of Primrose Township, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 93.
She was born Agnes Virginia Evenson on August 12, 1927 to Theodore and Mabel (Iverson) Evenson in Blue Mounds Township. She attended the Erbe and Daleyville Schools, and was the last surviving member of her eighth-grade class. She met her future husband, Alvin Hefty, at one of the many dances she loved to attend at Turner Hall in Madison. They were married on April 25, 1947 at Perry Lutheran Church in Daleyville. Together they farmed for the rest of their lives in Primrose Township.
