MADISON/DEFOREST, Wis. — Sunday, April 11, 2021 was a sold out show in the sky as heaven prepared to celebrate Ginny Skavlen, live, in-person, making her show-stopping entrance.
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Virginia “Ginny” A. Skavlen on April 11, 2021. She was born on June 30, 1938 in Sun Prairie, WI to Leo and Clara Gritzmacher. She was a loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she has touched.
Ginny was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her daughters and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a grandmother.
She was passionate about gardening, cooking, and entertaining with her uniquely instinctive humor. Ginny was known for never holding back, she had a knack for telling it like it is. Her vivacious personality made everyone around her laugh. Her words of wisdom and comfort kept us in line and gave us something to pass down to our children.
