Vietnam reports 41 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases

HANOI, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam recorded 47 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, including 41 locally transmitted and six imported, raising the total confirmed cases in the country to 3,137, according to the country's Ministry of Health.
The community cases included 24 in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, five in the central Da Nang city, and four in the northern Hung Yen province, among others.
Most of the cases are contacts of previously confirmed patients or linked to the clusters of infections at two hospitals in Hanoi, one of which was designated for COVID-19 treatment and the other for cancer patients.
