Victoria's Secret parent L Brands says holiday same-store sales rose 5%, offers upbeat profit outlook

L Brands said its same-store sales during the holiday period were up 5%, compared with a 3% drop a year earlier.
Net sales fell 1.8% to $3.84 billion.
The parent of Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works offered a mixed outlook for the fourth quarter, as its efforts to pull back on promotions pay off, but it continues to suffer from falling store traffic during the Covid pandemic.
