Doctors have confirmed "there is no immediate plan for surgery" after Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews injured his spine during a fall while getting ready for work on Tuesday.
The Alfred's Director of ICU, associate professor Steve McGloughlin, confirmed on Wednesday evening Mr Andrews was in a stable condition.Loading
The ABC understands there is still a reasonable likelihood the Premier will require surgery, but a decision on that isn't expected until the weekend.
