Vegetables to be grown in 6 hectare geothermal greenhouse in Sivas, Turkey
The first vegetable seedlings were planted for the products to be grown in the geothermal greenhouse established on 6 hectares of land in Sivas, Hot Cermik region.
120,000 tomato seedlings were planted in a 6-hectare glass greenhouse, which was started to be built a year ago in the region and will be heated by geothermal water. The greenhouse has cost approximately 5.5 million USD. Sivas Governor Salih Ayhan said: “This is a very exciting project for the city. The city is developing in every field, but there is a more accelerated development in agriculture. We use the thermal resources not only for health tourism but also for agriculture production. This greenhouse will create a lot of economic activity and bring added value to our city.”
