Two Valencia County Sheriffâs Office deputies have joined the FBI Violent Crime Task Force (VCTF).
Special Agent in Charge James Langenberg, of the Albuquerque FBI Division, recently swore in the deputies as federal task force officers at the FBI field office.
âThe FBI Violent Crime Task Force has made a huge impact since it was created a year and a half ago, thanks to the support and participation of our partners,â SAC Langenberg said. âThis group of highly trained agents, officers, and deputies has arrested more than 230 dangerous criminals and taken hundreds of weapons off our streets.â
âThe Valencia County Sheriffâs Office is proud to be working with the FBI in the fight to suppress violent crimes in our community. We are dedicated to achieving impactful results which will both make our neighborhoods safer and reduce crime. The removal of violent offenders from our community has a substantial and positive impact on the well-being of our residents,â said Valencia County Sheriff Denise Vigil.
