Vanderburgh reports 20 new cases of COVID-19, one death

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — There were 20 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported by Vanderburgh County Sunday with one death.
Warrick County had nine positive cases, Gibson four and Posey three as case numbers in the area continue an overall trend of decline. There were no deaths reported in those counties.
On the state level, there were 736 new cases reported in Indiana and 17 deaths. A total of 12,142 Hoosiers have now died from COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, with another 431 listed as "probable" COVID-related deaths.
Improving daily data placed Vanderburgh, Posey and Warrick counties in the state's "yellow" advisory level this week, a step forward from last week, when they were "orange." Gibson County was in the "blue" advisory level Saturday. The advisory levels are updated weekly.
