CLEVELAND – Members of a rural White County church said they are hopeful the person(s) who vandalized their facilities will find God.
Deputies responded to Antioch Baptist Church, 390 Antioch Cemetery Road, about 5:30 p.m. Monday for a reported burglary.
“The suspect(s) vandalized the church, causing substantial damage,” said White County Sheriff’s Capt. Clay Hammond.
Paul Payne, a deacon at the church located off U.S. 129 north of Cleveland, said the damage to the church building is considerable.
