Valenzuela COMET electric shuttles(Photo courtesy of Valenzuela-PIO) MANILA - Amid various restrictions that limit the public's mobility, commuters may avail of free rides in Valenzuela City's COMET (Community Optimized Managed Electric Transport) electric shuttles for the entire January. In an advisory, the city government advises the downloading of the GETPASS application via the Apple App Store or Google Play and register through https://getph.carrd.co/. The app utilizes cashless tickets and features information on COMET e-shuttles. Passenger points that may be used to avail of free rides will be based on the number of kilometers as follows: First 5 kilometers (km) - 15 points 5km to 10km - 20 points 10km to 15km - 30 points 15km to 20km - 30 points 20km to 25km - 40 points 25km to 40km - 50 points Eight COMET mini bus units travel from Puregold supermarket in Barangay Dalandanan to Estancia Mall in Pasig City with designated loading and unloading stops in between. "The COMET e-shuttles will not only help Valenzuelanos in their daily commute but will also help reduce the perennial problem of air pollution and traffic congestion in the metro," the city government said.
