The pandemic may have ruined a lot of things, but Valentine's Day doesn't have to be one of them.
To combat the health risks associated with indoor dining and large crowds, the Lakeland Downtown Development Authority is hosting a weekend of events for you and your sweetheart, in addition to dining deals around town and a special Buena Market happening at Lakeland Live.
The event comes on the heels of the cancelation of First Fridays through April because of rising COVID-19 cases in the area.
"We tried to make it up with some things that still promote downtown and still encourage people to come downtown and eat and shop but not necessarily thousands of people all at once," Julie Townsend, executive director of the Lakeland Downtown Development Authority, said.
