Vaccine now available for all ages 65-plus
Beginning Jan. 25, all Wisconsin residents 65-years and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
MONROE — Green County Public Health is continuing to vaccinate those individuals who are a part of Tier 1A of COVID-19 vaccine distribution. This tier includes healthcare workers, individuals in long term care facilities, mortuary workers, and police and fire personnel, as defined by the Wisconsin State Disaster Medical Advisory Committee. The department is in contact with organizations and agencies who are a part of this tier to coordinate vaccination efforts.
Beginning on Monday, Jan. 25, individuals age 65 and older will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Green County Public Health’s vaccinating efforts will continue to focus on the groups included in Phase 1A — healthcare/personal care workers, individuals in long term facilities, mortuary workers, police and fire personnel. Beginning the week of Jan. 25, the department will offer the COVID-19 vaccine to people 65 years of age and older who are residents at senior living facilities.
