EAST BREMERTON — A beer and a shot were on tap Thursday at Crane's Castle Brewing off Riddell Road.
In the outdoor beer garden, county health officials staked out a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic, offering a quick shot in the arm for 20 people. They found beer to be a helpful motivator. The brewery offered $2 pints for those willing to get the shot.
"I was pretty lazy about it so far," admitted Levi Irish, 28, a planner/estimator at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton's inactive ships maintenance facility, as he sipped an IPA following his jab. "And it's much better to do it at a brewery, where I didn't even have to stand in line."
