More than 1,300 Twin Lakes Area residents got their first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for COVID-19 Tuesday in a clinic conducted by Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) in conjunction with Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH) at the Baxter County Fairgrounds Education Building.
The event was the first off-site vaccine clinic conducted by BRMC to serve members of the public ages 70-and-over. Previously, BRMC began inoculating members of Phase 1A, which was open to healthcare workers, first-responders and long-term care residents and staff.
