Vaccination figures 'speak for themselves' as HSE aim is to jab as many as possible

HSE Chief Clinical Officer Colm Henry says the priority is to vaccinate as many people as soon as possible rather than aiming for herd immunity.
Henry credited the success to the Irish public who have taken up the vaccine "to a degree we never would of expected".

He said that although "different motivations" lie behind the demand for vaccines, he said some of it is a result of the sense of community and solidarity since the beginning of the pandemic.
