The Washington men's rowing team returns to action this Saturday morning, April 17, when the Huskies travel to the Bay Area for a pair of concurrent regattas.
It will be an unusual day as the Huskies will be competing at two different venues against two different teams, and will also race in straight (coxless) fours, a rarity in collegiate rowing.
Washington's first and second varsity eights will compete against Stanford at Redwood Shores. After the two eights races, those same athletes will move to fours – two with coxswains and two without – for four more races.
A bit later in a separate event with a different group of rowers, the Huskies' third varsity eight, freshman eight and varsity four will row against Santa Clara at the Oakland Estuary.
