Uttarkashi tunnel collapse: Large steel pipes brought in to pull out trapped workers

A plan has been devised to rescue the 40 workers trapped under the collapsed tunnel at Uttarkashi, which will see 900-mm diameter steel pipes being drilled through the debris to create an escape passage. The auger machine and the pipes have already arrived at Silkyara.
