On Friday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat decided to remove the management of 51 temples from under the control of the Char Dham Devasthanam Board and reconsidered its formation. The decision is a reversal of how the temples used to be managed during the tenure of Rawat's predecessor, Trivendra Singh Rawat.
