GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Public Service Commission has announced that the winter utility disconnect moratorium will end on April 15th, meaning now is the time for customers who may be behind on their utility payments to make arrangements with their service provider to make sure they don’t lose service.
“We encourage our customers to reach out to us right away,” said Wisconsin Public Service spokesman Matt Cullen. “Because then we can start the process of working with them to provide that payment arrangement [or] working with them to provide energy assistance.”
Cullen says for WPS a service disconnection is always the absolute last resort. “The most important step that our customers can take is to reach out to us right away so we can discuss options with them as well as the potential for financial assistance.”
