US DOE announces $1.2bn for two major DAC sites in Texas and Louisiana

The US Department of Energy (DOE) will support the development of two commercial-scale direct air capture (DAC) facilities in Texas and Louisiana with $1.2bn, the world’s largest investment in engineered carbon removal.
