U.S. Air Force Academy Visitor Center not expected to open until late 2025

A decade after the state of Colorado announced it would award Colorado Springs $120.5 million over 30 years, helping the city finance its illustrious City for Champions projects, city leaders and business, economic development and tourism officials agree the initiative has been "transformative" for the community established on sprawling prairielands 152 years ago in the shadow of Pikes Peak.
