URA, RippleNami kickoff the Rental Tax Compliance System (RTCS) project

Six months after RippleNami® Uganda committed to the Government of Uganda, to empower the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) with cutting edge traceability and transparency technology for improving rental income tax compliance, the project has kicked off with both parties promising a win-win for both taxpayers and the Government.
On June 05
th 2020 RippleNami® Uganda and the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development (MoFPED), signed an agreement for the former to deliver the Rental Tax Compliance System (RTCS).
The system is a blockchain data visualisation platform that will integrate various types of data from selected government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), matching properties in the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area to their true individual or corporate owners within the URA tax register.
