Our CorrespondentKohima, July 6 (EMN): Ura Academy, a premier institution of Tenyidie language, conferred meritorious awards to students during a programme held at Ura Academy Hall in Kohima on Wednesday. Addressing the solemn event, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, president of Ura Academy, highlighted the history and inception of Tenyidie language following the formation of Angami Literature Board in 1939, which was subsequently changed to the present day Ura Academy calling the Tenyimia community to collectively promote the language. While congratulating the student achievers, he advised them not to rest on their laurels but strive harder to excel. He also congratulated the parents for nurturing and supporting their children. While reminding the enormous contributions of the past educationists towards the society and the church, he urged the present generation to emulate them and contribute for the growth of communities. Award recipients The secretary general of Ura Academy, Prof. D Kuolie, highlighted the background of the awards, while its president, Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu, gave away the awards. Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire awards were presented to Visituonuo Caroline Solo from Don Bosco School, Kohima, and Keneivino Chücha from Christian Welfare School, Khonoma.
