The increasingly busy intersection of Lower Queen St and Berryfield Drive at Richmond West was earmarked for a permanent upgrade in the 2021-22 year – a project that looks likely to be deferred for at least a year.
Temporary measures are to be considered for the increasingly busy intersection of Lower Queen St and Berryfield Drive at Richmond West as a land purchase delay holds up plans for a permanent upgrade.
The intersection, which is a key access point for the large Richmond West residential development, was earmarked to undergo an estimated $2.8 million revamp in the 2021-22 financial year that includes the addition of traffic signals as well as measures to cater for pedestrians, cyclists and buses.
