Update: Teen in water dies after being electrocuted at Clyde Lake
The lake is about 22 miles southeast of Abilene.
Two men, one in a boat and one in the water, were pulling a disabled sail boat when the towing boat struck a power line going "out over the water," police said in a Facebook post Thursday morning.
The power line contacted the water.
Trevor Cate, 18, who was in the water, was struck by the electrical current and became submerged under water, police said.
Clyde Lake officials cut power at the lake, and responding officers located Cates and pulled him to shore. Personnel with Citizens EMS provided Cates medical care and transported him to an Abilene hospital, police said.
