Lockdowns have been lifted from North Shore and Brocklehurst schools as Kamloops RCMP continue to investigate a threat.
RCMP received a threat related to Norkam Secondary School on the North Shore this afternoon, March 31, but police aren't providing any details about the nature of the threat.
“(RCMP) are working with the school district to coordinate the safe exit of students to their parents. Police are still investigating the nature of the threat,” Kamloops RCMP media relations officer Const. Crystal Evelyn said.
No further information is available at this time.
The high school's administration locked down the school immediately and other schools in close proximity were also locked down.
