In view of rising cases and in order to keep transmission of COVID-19 in check, the Uttar Pradesh government has imposed a partial 'corona curfew' till 7 AM on May 6.
A partial corona curfew imposed in Uttar Pradesh has now been extended till 7 am on May 6, said Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Navneet Sehgal. This arrangement is for this week only, he said adding that decision has been taken for breaking the chain of coronavirus.
Out of the 3,417 new fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours, 288 are from Uttar Pradesh.
Incidentally, the weekend lockdown in the state began at Friday 8 pm and was supposed to end on Tuesday 7 am, but now the partial 'corona curfew' has been extended till 7 AM on May 6 (Thursday).
