Erica Hawkett said there was a risk of losing control of a vehicle when driving on the roads.
“We are all complaining in South Head because all the gravel roads, you get potholes very quickly, they're getting less maintenance, and I’ve even contacted them recently because the roads have gone down to clay,” Hawkett said.
“So there’s actually no gravel on the roads any more.”
With the rain, the roads became so bad that the mud “turned to sludge” and driving on them became a real risk, with cars skidding and getting covered in mud, Hawkett said.
