From a field of more than 1,300 applicants, University of Phoenix instructor Christopher Wilson won the University's 2020 Faculty of the Year Award. He is one of just 15 winners. Wilson, a member of the College of Health Professions faculty, started his University of Phoenix journey at the Oregon State Fair in 2004, when he noticed the University booth at the trade fair pavilion. Said Wilson, "After many starts and stops in my life with college, I simply wanted to complete my degree. University of Phoenix and Portland State became the two places I was considering, and University of Phoenix won because of the systems they have to support students. I didn't have that support anywhere else."
