TRIPOLI, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Mohammad Menfi, the newly-appointed president of the Presidency Council of Libya, said on Tuesday that uniting Libyan military institutions is the major challenge in front of the country's interim executive authority.
"There are several challenges and tasks ahead of us, mainly the task of uniting military institutions," Menfi said in a televised speech.
"We will try to ease the suffering of the Libyans by uniting the executive institutions, which is one of the government's main tasks," he said.
The Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) recently selected a new interim executive authority for the country, which was accepted by all parties involved.
