United Way of Aiken County held its annual meeting and awards ceremony March 28 at Newberry Hall, honoring Josh Booth as "volunteer of the year" and celebrating about $2.1 million in donations in 2023, largely through the efforts of such organizations as Kimberly-Clark, Aiken Electric Cooperative, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, local schools and Bridgestone's two local tire plants.
