At only 250 days old, a Woodstock baby is the newest – and likely the youngest – member of the United Empire Loyalists Association of Canada.
Nicholas Michael Parsons was announced as one of the youngest members of the association when he officially received the designation from its Grand River branch.

The history of this designation can be traced to the 1789 proclamation by Lord Dorchester – the governor-general of Upper and Lower Canada at the time – that officially recognized families that had defended the British Empire during the American Revolution. That recognition gave a person the right to add UE after their name.
