TRADE unions and Labour have urged the Scottish government to go further in funding essential services and front-line workers after MSPs passed its Budget on Tuesday night.
The Budget was approved after the SNP gained support from the Scottish Green Party and Liberal Democrats for their plans on tax and spending.
The Greens negotiated the extension of free bus travel to under-22s, a public-sector pay rise of up to 4 per cent, Covid-19 relief payments for low-income families, free school meals for all primary school pupils in Scotland and a £40 million investment in active travel and other green efforts.
