Eastern Ontario hospitals face devastating cuts in the near future, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) warns in a report released Monday.
Hospitals in Brockville, Kingston, Cornwall and elsewhere are facing service reductions in the next eight years if the Ford government is true to the spending targets outlined in its most recent budget, Michael Hurley, president of CUPE’s Ontario Council of Hospital Unions (OCHU/CUPE), said in a virtual media conference on Monday afternoon.
