The fundamental reason for this surge in unemployment is the economy's lack of growth. With over 11 million jobless workers, many Americans are tempted to look to the government for solutions. Yet, it is precisely because of the legacy of decades of government intervention in the market place that the U.S suffers from its current ec onomic malaise.
