This week’s Sunday Escape comes live from the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, which means that Paul and Carolyn will be at Hong Kong Stadium playing all the finest in new music, including singles from Yo La Tengo, Hemlock Springs, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Miss Grit as well as tracks from albums from Phoenix and First Aid Kit. Needless to say there’ll also be plenty of tunes to get you in the HK Sevens mood plus whatever else lurks in the Pop Fugitives’ records bag. There’ll be rugby coverage and commentary amongst the music naturally, and hopefully by now Paul has mastered the rules of rugby so he may be more in-depth than in previous years. Plus there’ll be all the atmosphere of the stadium accompanying the usual features such as another Super Clever Music Mastery Quiz, another debut single from a band who this week didn’t do much else and of course biscuits.
