DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Joe Vicari Restaurant Group is closing one of its longstanding Andiamo locations in Dearborn after suffering major losses due to the pandemic.
Restaurants throughout the state have faced stop-and-go closures as Michigan tries to get a handle on the coronavirus. Now, after 17 years in business, the closure of Andiamo Dearborn was announced Thursday.
Michigan bars and restaurants reopened with capacity limits in early February, a move made possible after the state saw a decline in daily case counts and deaths. The reopening of restaurants also brought with it a strict curfew, with metro Detroit businesses closing doors by 10 p.m.
