UN Secretary General's Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths has welcomed the Riyadh Agreement development.
WASHINGTON/RIYADH — UN Secretary General's Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths has welcomed the Riyadh Agreement development, including the formation of the new government.
In statement, Griffiths congratulated the Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, all parties, and political components that supported this process, expressing his congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
"This is an important step to enhance stability, improve state institutions and it is also a pivotal step towards a lasting political solution to the conflict in Yemen," he said.
