The county also announced three new deaths of people with COVID-19 during that time period.
Umatilla Countyâs 59th death with COVID-19 was a 56-year-old male who tested positive Dec. 30, 2020, and died Jan. 2 while incarcerated. He had underlying medical conditions, according to the news release.
The countyâs 60th death was a 50-year-old man who tested positive on Dec. 27, 2020, and died on Jan. 5 at Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. He had underlying conditions.
The 61st death announced by the county was a 63-year-old woman who was a presumptive case of COVID-19 at the time of her death and died Dec. 27 at her residence. The death certificate listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause of death, according to Umatilla County Public Health.
