Ofgem's energy price cap to dip below £2,000 in October, but bills still 80% higher than pre-crisis

Ofgem confirms new price cap of £1,923 per year, saving average homes £130-£150 per quarter. Calls are being made for long-term solutions to lower energy prices, such as a national energy efficiency programme for homes.
