In the 1960s and 1970s, you were far more likely to encounter a mundane Mini Van than the comparatively expensive, high-performance Cooper or 1275GT. They were the light commercial vehicle of choice of retail outlets, several police forces, the AA, the RAC and Robin Askwith-lookalike window cleaners. The Post Office also employed fleets of Minis for its telephone division and postal delivery. Today, this example is believed to be one of only two surviving ex-Royal Mail Minis.
