The UEFA Congress on Thursday voted in favour of the amendment to the statutes that will allow current president Aleksander Ceferin to stay in office for a further four years. That means that Ceferin, who has been the president of the European ruling body since 2016, will be able to run for re-election in 2027, when his current term ends. Previously, the UEFA statutes stipulated a maximum of three terms in office. Ceferin, however, hasn't said yet whether he will stand for re-election in 2027. L
