UEFA has announced a series of measures designed to improve safety for supporters at major finals. The action plan comes in the wake of the damning independent report into the chaotic scenes at last season’s Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid in Paris which concluded that UEFA bore “primary responsibility” for the problems that almost led to a “mass fatality catastrophe”.
