UCC in Kashmir: Army cancels seminar on UCC after backlash from political parties in J&K

The Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir has cancelled a seminar aimed at raising awareness about the Uniform Civil Code and other topics. The seminar, scheduled for March 26 at the Kashmir University Auditorium, was criticized by regional political parties, including former chief minister and National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah, who questioned the Army's involvement in a "divisive" issue in a sensitive area like Kashmir.
