The U.S. climate envoy has said it is inappropriate for his country to intervene in Japan's plan to dump radioactive water from the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant into the sea.
"We don't think it is appropriate for the U.S. to jump in to the process that's already under way and where there are very clear rules and expectations," U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry told reporters in Seoul on Sunday.
"The U.S. is confident that the government of Japan has had full consultation with IAEA, that IAEA has set up a very rigorous process," he added.
