The Arabic language spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, Hala Rharrit, has resigned. Rharrit cited her opposition to Washington's policy concerning the war in Gaza. She held the position for one and nine months. Hala Rharrit in a post on LinkedIn wrote, “I’m a peacemaker. Extensive experience in foreign relations, political affairs, economic development, and countering violent extremism. “Former American diplomat, who served around the world, including throughout the Middle East, Hong Kong, and South Africa.
