WASHINGTON, D.C. — Meriden resident Miguel Cardona is set to become the nation’s next Secretary of Education, following a 64 to 33 vote in the U.S. Senate Monday.
Democratric senators Christopher Murphy and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, both of whom cast votes in the affirmative, spoke in support of Cardona’s confirmation prior to the roll call tally.
