(Bloomberg) -- New York reported more than 10,000 new Covid-19 cases statewide for the second consecutive day, as the first Covid-19 vaccine expected to be distributed in the U.S. was backed by a government advisory panel.
While awaiting a vaccine deployment, Virginia announced a limited nightly stay-at-home order after record daily cases this week. Ohio is extending its curfew throughout December, which Governor Mike DeWine called an “extremely critical” month. Pennsylvania is temporarily suspending indoor dining at bars and restaurants.
France, the country with the most confirmed cases in Europe, backed off plans to reopen theaters, museums, cinemas and sports facilities next week.
