Two migrant children from Honduras were rescued by Border Patrol after they were abandoned in the middle of an island on the Rio Grande, video released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection shows.
The boys, 7 and 13, apparently were set to migrate from Mexico to the Texas shore of the river when a smuggler left them on the small island last Thursday.
Agents from the U.S Border Patrol's Del Rio Sector were conducting a vigilance tour of the Rio Grande when they noticed two children standing on the edge of the island.
