U.S. Border Patrol agent arrested on domestic violence charges

A U.S. Border Patrol agent has been arrested for assaulting a woman and preventing her from leaving a residence, according to Laredo police.
LPD police officers responded to a domestic assault at about 7:40 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 8700 block of Owl Creek Pass. A woman stated that she had been assaulted at her home in the 8700 block of Shiloh Rock.
Officers located a man at the residence. He was identified as Angel Hinojosa, 37, who was an off-duty Border Patrol agent.
